Your vault is empty
Add photos and videos. They are encrypted before they are saved on this device.
The note is encrypted with your vault key and saved automatically a moment after you stop typing, and again when you lock.

Security
Backup
A backup is a single encrypted file. It stays protected by the PIN you have today; if you change your PIN later, an older backup still needs the older PIN.
Restoring adds missing files and never deletes or overwrites anything already in your vault.

Danger zone
Clearing contents removes every file and the note but keeps your PIN. Resetting also removes the PIN and returns to first-run setup.
How your vault is protected
What is encrypted, and how
Files, thumbnails, file names and the note are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they are written to this browser's IndexedDB. A random vault key does the encrypting. Your PIN never encrypts files directly: it is stretched with PBKDF2-SHA-256 (600,000 iterations, random salt) into a key that only wraps the vault key. The PIN and vault key are never stored.
If I forget my PIN
There is no recovery. Nobody, including the developer, can decrypt your vault without the PIN. Keep a backup file and remember which PIN protects it.
What this does not protect against
It cannot protect you from a compromised phone, malware, malicious browser extensions, a keylogger, or anyone who is shown or can use the vault while it is unlocked. A short numeric PIN can be guessed offline by someone who copies this browser's data, so a longer PIN is the main defence. Item count and approximate file sizes are visible to anyone who inspects browser storage. The calculator look is a convenience, not concealment: it does not stop someone from finding that this site stores data.
Where data lives
Only in this browser on this device. Clearing site data, uninstalling the browser, or low-storage clean-up can erase it. Export a backup regularly.
